Lock Him Up

Lock Him Up

The current president has said that his predecessor is a threat to democracy and that he likely committed many felonies. The number of felonies likely runs to the hundreds, if not thousands. If no one is above the law in America, it’s high time that we put man with the orange hair in a matching orange jumpsuit.

You’d think it would be easy. After all, he has committed many of these crimes in plain sight. For example, we have all listened to the recording of Trump and his chief of staff tampering with an election by beseeching the Georgia Secretary of State to find enough votes to alter the results of the election.

Before the election in 2020 the incumbent repeatedly told crowds of his admirers that the only way he could lose was if the election was rigged. When he lost on November 3, he claimed that the election was stolen by the Democrats.

The committee investigating the assault on the Capitol uncovered compelling evidence that, at a minimum, Trump had conspired to disrupt congressional processes and committed conspiracy against the United States.

Just recently the newly elected District Attorney in New York mysteriously decided shortly after taking office not to pursue a criminal case against the former guy for his many false statements about the values of his properties.

Many of us wonder why indictments have not been issued.  Are prosecutors getting death threats from MAGATs?   What gives?

Chorus
Lock him up, put him on trial
Gotta make him pay
Lock him up for a long, long while
We can’t let him get away

V1
Send an army of agents
For the man we twice impeached
Surround Mar-a-Lago compound
Make sure that you cover the beach

V2
Walk right up, go right in
Guns drawn, no need to knock
Don’t forget to break down the door
Whether or not it’s locked

B1
Put a gag in his big fat mouth
Put a blindfold over his eyes
Tie a do-rag over his hair
Say “you’re in for a big surprise”

Chorus

V3
Make him put his hands up
Slam him up against the wall
Then cuff his hands behind his back
Tell him he can make one call

V4
Perp-walk him through the lobby
Drag him out the front door
Push his head down, shove him in the van
Make him lie down on the floor

B2
I don’t want to hear his name again
I don’t want to see his face
If we could just make him disappear
It would benefit the human race

Chorus

V5
Charge him with conspiracy
Against the United States
He’ll do it again if we let him go
There’s no time to waste

V6
He’s commits so many crimes
One or two every day
Everybody knows, any fool can see
So why should he get away

B3
He’s a one-man crime wave
He’s the devil himself
Like that wicked witch of the West
We all want to watch him melt

Chorus

V7
Don’t you get sick of hearing about
All the nasty things he does
Can’t look away, you got to watch
Just because, just because, just because

V8
He’s never done anything for anyone
Except for his own bad self
The best we can do for the country
Put him back on the shelf

B4
Take him into custody
Don’t let him make bail
You know that he’s a flight risk
You know he belongs in jail

Chorus
Lock him up, put him away
Gotta make him pay
Lock him up for a long, long while
We can’t let him get away

V9
Mr. AG, what you waiting for
You know that it’s long past time
For this seditious citizen
To pay for his heinous crimes

Chorus:
Lock him up, put him on trial
Gotta make him pay
Lock him up for a long, long while
We can’t let him get away

Lock him up, put him on trial
Gotta make him pay
Lock him up for a long, long while
We can’t let him get away

Lock him up for a long, long while
We can’t let him get away
Can’t let him get away
Can’t let him get away
